Years of good old fashion gospel music, church singing enjoying the harmony parts, on to country music and bluegrass the sound I had heard all my life from my uncle Mack. it became easy in my first group ( Blueridge Junction ) to sing high harmony then to move on to some lead. Now my heart belongs to Bluegrass.
Ted was born in Virginia but grew up in Rhode Island where he began playing guitar and hearing live folk, old-timey , and bluegrass at the Newport Folk Festivals. Meeting likeminded musicians in college plus a vibrant bluegrass scene in Boston eventually led to a 17 year stint singing and playing mandolin throughout the New England area with the band Spider Bridge. Moving with his family to Florence in 1994 for work put performing in the background. Ted has now learned banjo and is excited to be playing with Carolina Crossroads.
Playing bass and singing lead and harmony, Craig was in a Southern Gospel group for years before moving to bluegrass. A founding member of Blueridge Junction, we are excited to have Craig with Carolina Crossroads.
